Halo Jellie Nail Tips Short Almond, Sizes 0-11, 120 Mixed Sizes

Using the Halo Acrylic Liquid & Powder System enables the professional nail technician to create beautiful, strong nail extensions.  This system can be used over tips or sculpting forms.

Application Guidelines

1. Use Pure Nails Sanitising Spray to ensure hands and nails are sanitised before commencing any nail service
2. Carry out thorough preparation of the natural nail ensuring all non-living tissue is removed from the nail plate
3. Apply Pure Nails Tips and blend if necessary
4. Using a lint free pad work Halo Prep & Scrub into the natural nail (avoid the tip) to thoroughly dehydrate and cleanse the nail plate
5. Apply Halo Mega Bond to the natural nail only, avoiding tip

To create Natural Acrylic Nails

1. Work in Zone 1 covering tip using Halo Acrylic Liquid and Halo Pink or Clear Acrylic Powder
2. Work in Zones 2 and 3 using Halo Acrylic Liquid with chosen Halo Pink or Clear Acrylic Powder to cover rest of nail.  It is important to leave a very small margin and avoid contact with the skin
3. Finish by filing and buffing to a high gloss shine

or French Acrylic Nails 

1. Work in Zone 1 to create a French tip using Halo Acrylic Liquid and Halo White Acrylic Powder
2. Work in Zones 2 and 3 using Halo Acrylic Liquid with Halo Clear or Pink Acrylic Powder.  It is important to leave a very small margin and avoid contact with the skin
3. Finish by filing and buffing to a high gloss shine
4. Finish by filing and applying Halo Gel Polish Non-Wipe Top Coat and cure
5. Apply Pure Nails Cuticle Feed to finish

or Reverse Method

1. To apply in a reverse method, apply Halo Cover Pink Acrylic Powder to Zones 2 & 3, then apply Pink Acrylic Powder to build the apex
2. File the smile line area before applying Halo White Acrylic Powder to the French area Zone 1
3. Finish by filing and applying Halo Gel Polish Non-Wipe Top Coat and cure
4. Apply Pure Nails Cuticle Feed to finish

Materials Needed:

Preparation of the Natural Nail

1. Sanitise your hands and Clients hands
2. Remove any polish or gel polish
3. Push back the cuticles and remove any non-living tissue off the nail plate
4. File the natural nails with a 180 grit nail file
5. Using a 180 grit nail file, gently etch the nail to remove shine, then apply tips or forms
6. Remove dust with a Halo Plush Brush and dehydrate using Halo Prep & Scrub

Application

1. Apply Halo Rubber Base Coat and cure for 30 seconds, remembering to remove any product flooding side walls or cuticle area first
2. Apply first bead of PoliBuild using your PoliBuild Dual Tool
3. Dip the brush end of the PoliBuild Dual Tool into the Liquid Control, wiping off excess. Your PoliBuild brush should not be too wet; a small amount of Liquid Control will work
4. Pat and push your PoliBuild into position
5. Repeat steps 2, 3 and 4 until you have the required amount and shape
6. Cure under the Halo Smart Lamp for 30 seconds. It is not necessary to cure each ball individually
7. Using Halo Prep & Scrub, remove the tacky layer

Finishing

1. File the nails with a 180 grit file to refine the shape, length and surface
2. Buff the nails with a Halo Elite White Block to smooth
3. Remove dust
4. Apply Halo Gel Polish Non Wipe Top Coat
5. Cure for 30 seconds
6. Allow time to cool before applying Pure Nails Cuticle Feed

Removal

1. Remove Gel Polish Colour or Top Coat and break the seal of the product with 150/150 file
2. Using a soak off bowl, place hands in Acetone
3. Leave for 10 minutes and scrape off product
4. Repeat until all product is removed
5. Tidy up natural nails with a Halo Elite Yellow Block and 240 grit file
6. Apply Cuticle Feed

Preparation of the Natural Nail

1. Sanitise your hands and your clients’ hands.
2. Remove any polish or gel polish.
3. Push back the cuticles and remove any non-living tissue off the nail plate. Using Halo Elite Cuticle Nippers, carefully trim dead cuticles.
4. File the natural nails with a 180-grit nail file.
5. Gently etch the natural nail vertically from cuticle to free edge to remove the shine using a 180-grit file.
6. Remove dust and scrub the nail with Halo Prep & Scrub and Halo Plush Brush.
7. Apply Nail Tips or Forms if required.

Application

1.  Apply Halo Base Coat, avoid flooding the cuticle area and nail walls - cure for 30 seconds LED *
2. Apply slick layer of EasiBuild to the nail following the Base Coat application. This will guide your building layer to the correct place on the nail bed. Do not cure this layer.
3. Now apply a building layer directly on top of the slick layer. Concentrate on your apex and structure. If product flattens you can hold your hand upside down to help regain the apex. Cure for 30 seconds.
   Repeat Step 3 if you do not have required apex.
4. Using a lint free wipe, remove sticky layer with Gel Wipe. 

TIP

Use the low heat setting on your Halo lamp to help avoid heat spikes!

Finishing

1. File the nails with a 180-grit file to refine the shape, length, and surface.
2. Buff the nails with your Halo Elite Buffer 180-grit to smooth the nail.
3. Remove dust with Halo Prep & Scrub and Halo Plush Brush.
4. Apply Halo Gel Polish Base Coat, colour of choice and Halo Gel Polish Top Coat if required, or Halo Gel Polish Base and Top Coat if no colour is required.
5. Cure for 30 seconds.
6. Allow time to cool before applying Pure Nails Cuticle Feed.

Removal

1. Remove bulk with 180 grit file until you almost hit the base coat.
2. Place hands in a heated bowl of acetone for 10 minutes to remove excess EasiBuild and base coat. Alternatively, you can also use the foil wrapping method for removal.
3. If product fails to remove, buff the nail further and replace hand into acetone.
4. File the natural nail with your 180-grit Halo file and gently remove any debris with your 180-grit Halo Elite Buffer.
5. Apply Halo Citrus Crush Cuticle Feed and massage in.

Application of Halo Elite Hard Gel

Sculpting Gel

1. Prep nails and dehydrate using Halo Elite Cuticle tools, Plush Brush, and Prep & Scrub.
2. Apply Tip or Form. 
3. Apply Primer to natural nail only. 
4. Apply a thin coat of clear gel as a slick layer, then with the sculpting gel create desired length and shape. Cure for 30 seconds. Repeat this step if needed to ensure correct Apex.
5. Remove tacky layer and buff in using normal filing routine.
6. Remove dust with Prep & Scrub and Plush Brush.
7. Apply Halo Base coat, colour, and Top coat as normal, curing after each layer for 30 seconds.

White and Pink

1. Prep nails and dehydrate using Halo Elite Cuticle tools, Plush Brush, and Prep & Scrub. 
2. Apply Tip or Form.
3. Apply Primer to natural nail only.
4. Apply a thin coat of Cover Pink gel as a slick layer, then with the same gel create desired length and shape for smile line. Cure for 30 seconds. Repeat this step if needed to ensure correct Apex.
5. Remove tacky layer and buff in smile line to crisp up the shape. Clean away any dust with Plush Brush.
6. Apply an even cover of White gel. Cure for 30 seconds.
7. Cap in the White gel with Clear gel. Cure for 30 seconds.
8. Remove tacky layer and buff in with normal filing routine. Remove dust with Plush Brush.
9. Apply Halo Base and Top coat for finished shine, curing after each layer for 30 seconds.

Natural tip and overlay

1. Prep nails and dehydrate using Halo Elite Cuticle tools, Plush Brush, and Prep & Scrub.
2. Apply Tip or Form.
3. Apply Primer to natural nail only.
4. Apply thin coat of Clear or Sheer Pink gel as a slick layer, then with the same gel create desired length and shape. Cure for 30 seconds. Repeat this step if needed to ensure correct Apex.
5. Remove tacky layer and buff in using normal filing routine.
6. Remove dust with Prep and Scrub and Plush Brush.
7. Apply Halo Base coat, colour, and Top coat as normal, curing after each layer for 30 seconds.

Fibre Gel

1. Prep nails and dehydrate using Halo Elite Cuticle tools, Plush Brush, and Prep & Scrub.
2. Apply Primer to natural nail only.
3. Apply a thin coat of Clear gel as a slick layer, then with the Fibre gel cover the whole nail making sure to seal any cracks in the natural nail. Cure for 30 seconds. Repeat this step if needed to ensure correct Apex.
4. Remove tacky layer and buff in using normal filing routine.
5. Remove dust with Prep and Scrub and Plush Brush.
6. Apply Base coat, colour and Top coat as normal, curing after each layer for 30 seconds.
